Joann Pyne

Joann Pyne is the Institute Director, Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE (TNQIT). Joann has responsibility for the performance and operation of the institute and reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Education and Training. Joann has worked in a number of roles at TNQIT, having managed Education & Training, Business Development, two Faculties and now as the Institute Director. Joann has previously worked for Brisbane City Council as their Strategic Corporate Planner. She has also worked for the Commonwealth Government in a variety of roles including Quality Manager, Training Manager and Regional Director.
Joann has been instrumental in developing a range of programs that have received awards and accolades for their innovative approach, unique and successful partnerships and their responsiveness to business, industry and community. Joann has extensive networks throughout Queensland and is keen to ensure TNQIT is seen as the premier training provider in Queensland.
