Jeremy has been working in economics related fields in North Queensland for 22 years. For the past eight years, he has been consulting to the public and private sector, preparing a range of economic studies, feasibilities, research, strategic business plans and economic development plans.
Jeremy has also undertaken short-term executive role assignments for organisations during their periods of recruitment and extended leave for example.
Jeremy has been on the committee of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce for seven years, and served as President for three-and-a-half years (2007-2010). Jeremy has in-depth knowledge of small to medium enterprise and regional development issues, and has been instrumental in a range of regional initiatives that have required collaboration and support across the three levels of government and private enterprise.
Other professional interests include Board roles with a P-12 private school (TAS), a regional and widely acclaimed theatre production company (JUTE), and an Indigenous social enterprise (Djarragun Enterprises).
Jeremy has a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree from Leicester University, UK.
